Sindhudurg Fort

The biggest attraction of Malvan, Sindhudurg Fort was built by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, between 1664-1667. Its main purpose was to resist the foreign forces from invading India. With a land area of 48 acres, the fort has 30 feet high and 12 feet thick walls with massive 4000 mounds of iron being used for the construction. One of the marvellous engineering works back in those days, Sindhudurg fort is an example of awe inspiring design that have mesmerized travellers since ages. Rock Garden

A well decorated and maintained garden in Malvan, the rock garden is a popular attraction in this region. Huge rocks which come in contact with the waves lashing at them. Spending time here will give you a very relaxing mood owing to its proximity to the sea and no external disturbances. Chivla Beach

Chivla is a famous beach on the Konkan coast of Maharashtra, in the Sindhudurg district. It is a clean white sand beach with a lot of coconut trees and massive rocks at its side. At the main entrance, you will get a small chapel that allows people from all kinds of faith to offer their prayers. Also, you are going to get the sea sport games like scuba diving and snorkelling will also add on to the adventure. The best time to visit this beach is between November to February. The temperature is quite pleasant and with a lesser number of tourists, you can spend some quiet relaxing time on the beach.

Tarkarli

Tarkarli is another wonderful beach in the Malvan region. A mecca of adventure sports, this beach draws a huge number of adventure junkies every year. The beautiful white sand is a speciality in this region and you will feel elated walking on it, with small crabs running through your legs. Go for snorkelling and get inside the most diverse range of coral reefs, fishes and other marine animals floating and swimming around. Devbag

Shivmudra Museum

The shivmudra museum has a lot of old artefacts depicting the history of the local culture.
